1996 Corvette Grand Sport Admiral Blue exterior, Black interior. 330hp LT4engine, 6 speed manual transmission, posi rear-end. This gorgeous Grand Sport is in immaculate condition with just 34637 original miles. According to its clean Carfax, this Grand Sport was a California car until 2007 when it was purchased from the original owner and shipped to Georgia. Number 800 of the 1000 Grand Sports produced, this car wears very good to excellent paint with absolute minimal flaws. All weatherstripping on this car is in excellent condition; this low-mileage car shows not so much as a crack on its rubber. Window sweeps are excellent as well with no cracks, and the rear hatch seal is also excellent with no breaks. The factory Grand Sport specific wheels are in very good condition as well, and wear correct Goodyear Eagle GSC tires with 8/32nds remaining in the front, and 3/32nds at the rear. The interior of this 1996 Corvette Grand Sport is just as nice as the outside, with very good condition factory leather seat covers and steering wheel, and an excellent center console and door panels. A set of front and rear mats with the Grand Sport insignia seem to be the only modifications to this car, which also features a clean, rust and corrosion-free subframe. This car comes with several inches worth of records dating back to 1996, as well as a photocopy of the original window sticker. With the recent reintroduction of the Grand Sport nameplate, this car is guaranteed to turn heads

Detailed test drive and evaluation of a 2002 Corvette Z06 with Chris from Chicago Cars Direct. The fifth-generation (C5) Corvette restored the luster of the storied nameplate, and the Z06 brought the Vette’s abilities up to the level of its legend. For that, it garnered our Automobile of the Year award for 2001. To find out what this legend is like to live with, we took delivery of a torch-red Z06 twelve months ago. Would its superstar performance still thrill? Would hidden flaws emerge? Would we discover new talents? Would shaky quality shake our faith? Taking the last question first, the answer turned out to be no. Under our loving, if not exactly tender, care, the Corvette stayed fairly healthy, hanging together with a tenacity that belied the marque’s reputation. It did, however, develop a taste for the Mobil 1–two quarts in the first 2500 miles, three more quarts in the next 1100. We twice checked in to the dealer’s service department, but they could find no leaks. Finally, at 5810 miles, as we reported in our six-month Logbook update, the Z06 received new piston rings. Excessive oil consumption had been a lingering problem for a small percentage of C5 owners, and eventually it was traced to light-load, high-rpm driving. Under those conditions, ring flutter would
